Introduction

Hell my name is Gabe and I'm extremely bored at work.  I am a MMA fanatic.  I think I would actually train MMA but my back is garbage from years of powerlifting and strongman training. Because of  my go heavy and fuck stretching attitude in my youth.  I'm more injury prone than Dominic Cruz and my training has been centered around avoiding obesity.  Despite my lack of actual striking and grappling training, I've logged in watching tens of thousands of hours of boxing and MMA fights. I am the Marc Lamion of Fight Analysis.  I've started this blog because I get paid to do nothing and I have a lot of time on my hands.  Sadly enough I should have started this blog sooner as now I'm on a different team and my desk is no longer tucked in a corner. My desk is now in the hallway, so I can't stream Fight Pass without my colleagues seeing.  But keeping a word document open writing this blog keeps me looking busy, rather them actually checking my workload report that I submit weekly. Lazy government employees.

I love MMA. I love this sport.  I love how you anything can happen.  I love how a fighter can win every second of every round and lose the fight at any moment by making one mistake.   I love when people ask me about the rationale for my obsession when they also can't look away when they see a fight ensue.  You could be watching your favorite team or athlete compete at live event in their most important game ever and if a fight broke out in the stands. They would divert their attention and watch the melee unfold. Its in our nature and it can't be avoided.  Your favorite sport is just watered down versions of combat.  Embrace the technical ballet of combat sports, where technique and strategy will always beat pure athleticism.

I hope you all enjoy this blog.  My focus will be to give my two cents on MMA news.  I also breakdown matchups for fantasy games and straight odds betting.
